What CricBun collects, why we use it, and the choices you control.

Plain-language summary

We collect only what is needed to run and improve CricBun. We do not sell personal information. You can access, export or delete your data.

1. Scope

This policy applies to CricBun websites, applications, APIs and account services. It does not cover third-party sites linked from CricBun or cricket data providers operating under their own policies.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details such as name, email and password hash.
  • Profile, follows, bookmarks, comments and fantasy selections.
  • Messages, support attachments and privacy requests.

Information collected automatically

  • Device, browser, approximate location, IP address and security logs.
  • Pages viewed, searches, interactions and referral source.
  • Notification delivery, consent and preference records.
Passwords: CricBun stores password hashes, not readable passwords. Never send a password through support or comments.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide live scores, personalize followed content, operate fantasy teams, secure accounts, send requested notifications, respond to support, measure reliability and improve product design.

Where required, processing relies on contract, legitimate interests, consent or legal obligation. Marketing consent is optional and separate from account creation.

4. When information is shared

We share limited information with service providers supporting hosting, email, analytics, security and payments. Providers may process data only for contracted purposes. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies and local storage

Essential storage keeps sessions secure, remembers consent and preserves settings. Optional analytics and personalization storage is used only according to your choices. See the Cookie Policy for categories and controls.

6. Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Security logs are generally retained for 90 days, support records for up to two years, and legal or financial records as required by law. Deleted comments may remain in anonymized form when needed to preserve discussion integrity.

8. Security

CricBun uses encrypted transport, Argon2ID password hashing, prepared database queries, CSRF controls, rate limits, signed cookies, session rotation and access logging. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so we also provide session review and account recovery controls.

9. Children

CricBun is not directed to children under 13. Where local law sets a higher digital-consent age, parental authorization may be required. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information without appropriate permission.

10. International transfers and changes

Data may be processed in countries where CricBun or its providers operate. Appropriate contractual safeguards are used where required. Material policy changes will be announced in-product or by email before taking effect.
